Coaching

Coaches play a vital role in the sport of Netball through their interaction with athletes, support staff, parents and supporters.

Coaches provide a safe environment for players which leads to and builds on skill development, tactical awareness, teamwork and enjoyment of the game.

All coaches who are over 18 years of age are required to have completed a Working with Children Check (WWCC). If you are a volunteer coach, this check is free. The Working with Children Check service is run by the NSW Government. You can apply for your WWCC via the Office of the Children’s Guardian website.

The Office of the Children’s Guardian has made available the first module in the Child Safe eLearning package. The Working with Children Check module contains short videos visually explaining the key processes in the WWCC system. This module can be accessed via information available here

Juniors coaches are required to sign a letter of agreement. You can see a sample on the RNC website and you will be required to sign a paper copy prior to the season.
